King Tut's Tomb - Valley of the Kings

From April, 2025. Finally visited King Tut's Tomb in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt. The mummy is too fragile to move and so remains within his now empty tomb. While the art does not compare to many of the others in the Valley, it is nevertheless an amazing place to find oneself.

Melancholy Spreads


I have nothing to offer
no words come that comfort
wave of melancholy spreads
tide on a sandy beach
pick up a shell and listen
your voice is a whisper
soft and receding quickly
sunrise silhouettes ship
steaming away to new ports
I wave but can't see your face
cannot see your tears fall
mix with waves swept to my feet
